Want: Prada Messenger

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

I am a messenger bag kind of girl. I am always carrying my computer with me, and that’s a lot easier with something crossbody. I have a Kate Spade nylon pink messenger and a J Crew bag that’s navy and brown, but I want something in one color that I can take pretty much everywhere. These Prada messenger bags are about right.

I think I’m leaning toward the third one. I’ve never spent this much on a bag before, but really want it.

In the realm of things I can’t afford, here is a beautiful bangle by Mark Davis. It can be yours for only $1,760.00.

Want: Diamond Studs

Saturday, January 27th, 2007

I have not worn earrings regularly since junior high. I may have put a pair on two or three times in high school, and my junior prom was probably the last time.

I’d like to start wearing them again, and my holes are still open. The problem is that I have very bad allergies to metal. I can put in a pair for 30 seconds and my lobes get all red and itchy. I am going to start with some stainless steel studs, but I would really like a pair of diamond studs I can wear every day. Perhaps these from Tiffany (only $650):

The relatively low price surprised me, but it’s because they are 0.10 tcw. They are certainly beautiful, though.

In truth, I want someone to give me something from Tiffany. There is little a boyfriend could do in terms of a gift that would make me happier than one of those little blue boxes.

Love: Spoonfed

Friday, January 26th, 2007

Over on the Lucky Forums, someone mentioned SpoonfedArt.com. They make pendants out of spoons. I was skeptical at first, but blown away when I saw them.

I bought this one.

I want several of these, but I’ll wait for the first one before I go crazy buying them!

New: Fossil Hadley Print Dress

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

I certainly do have a thing for red dresses. Today I bought this one at Fossil online: the Hadley Print Dress.

The cut is nice, and it also has really great detail close up.

Classic: The Converse Jack Purcell

Wednesday, January 24th, 2007

Perhaps the only sneaker anyone will ever need is the Converse Jack Purcell; a pair in blue and a pair in white.

They are so cool and classic. They used to be the only thing I’d wear for years and years. Now, they are my main sneaker, and are always perfect.

Love: Tocca Top

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

I keep seeing and admiring this top by Tocca at Bluefly

The detailing and colors are both really beautiful. I haven’t bought this because it doesn’t really fit into my wardrobe. Also, tops with large pleats in the front like this hals tend to scare me; I like them more fitted. Still, I am a big fan of this item and of Tocca in general.

Design: Valentine’s Day

Monday, January 22nd, 2007

I previously mentioned my blue hearts design, but today I’d like to show a bigger selection of the Valentine’s Day stuff in the store. We have lots of shirts…

And also a lot of cute cards (here are a few samples).

Order now to get these in time. Use code BEAUSWORLD for $5 off a $20 order, or code VDAYSHIP for free shipping on orders over $50.

New: Steve Madden Loucee Pumps

Sunday, January 21st, 2007

I am trying to establish a new rule for myself that if I really really love something (not just a passing love, but something I keep going back to look at), I should just buy it. My wardrobe is very small despite all the time I spend shopping.

Steve Madden Loucee

Earlier this week I was in Boston, and saw these shoes at the Steve Madden store. I’ve been wanting them since the fall, but haven’t bought them. They aren’t even expensive. I should have bought them, too, because I could have really used them for the trip I’m taking today.

So, last night I went searching around to buy them online. They are in a lot of online shoe stores. When buying online, I cannot say enough about how great FatWallet is. They have agreements with hundreds of stores such that if you go through the link on FatWallet’s site, you get a percentage of the purchase back to your FatWallet account. Once you earn $25 , you can request a check. I’ve received well over $100 back in the last year from them. Most places (Nordstrom, Saks, Old Navy, Gap) give something from 2%-5%, but the online shoe stores are very competitive.

I looked around and found these at Shoes.com for $74.99, $5 off the normal price. Then, I had a code for 8% off (JAN8OFF), which brought it down to about $69. Via FatWallet, I got an extra 13% off, so the final price was only $60 (that’s $20 off retail). Too bad I won’t have them today for the trip, but the deal was worth it.
