Interesting: Lilly Pulitzer Dress

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

There is a lot of 60s mod stuff going on this spring. Most of it just looks costumey to me. This Lilly Pulitzer dress manages to pull it off pretty well, though.

New: BCBG Dress

Friday, May 25th, 2007

When I get my hair cut, I get to spend part of my afternoon shopping in Georgetown. Today, I only stopped in a few places, but I got some great things. My favorite is this dress from BCBG Max Azaria. It may be my new favorite item.

Want: White Trench

Sunday, May 20th, 2007

I have no lightweight jackets or coats. I really would like a short white trench. I’m looking, but not finding. This one by Michael Kors is the right idea, but I tried it on and it’s actually a bit shapeless in person.

New: Esprit White Wrap Dress

Saturday, May 19th, 2007

Following on to my previous triumph at that middle school icon Esprit, I got this white wrap dress. I love wearing white in the summer, and this will be perfect for work. The length is great, and so are the sleeves.

New: Esprit Bag

Friday, May 18th, 2007

I am 30. When I was in junior high, esprit was just about the coolest thing ever. ALL the girls has these big canvas esprit bags for their books. It was one of the few things that I had that everyone else did.

However, this had largely faded into my memory. It turns out, though, Esprit has a website with some really great stuff.

I bought two things there, and my most triumphant is this brown bag for under $50. As I’ve posted a few times, I’m really in desperate need of bags, but I don’t like most that I see. This one is pretty cool, and you can’t beat the price.

Love: Coach Bag

Wednesday, May 16th, 2007

I have finally identified a white bag that I would love to have. The Coach ERGO Leather Crossbody is the ideal size, crossbody like I want, and well structured (not saggy).

Ordered: Kate Spade Commuter Card Holder

Monday, May 14th, 2007

I don’t go out that often, and when I do it’s usually with friends and simple. However, last time I brought a clutch out I had serious issues. My cell phone, as I previous complained, was giant. My wallet, which is relatively small, was still far too big. So now I have a fancy Red RAZR, which is little. I decided to get a proper card holder since all I need is id, a couple credit cards, and some cash. I got this by Kate Spade in red (to match the phone). This is yet another great sale item from Nordstrom this week.

Note - the top color is accurate. I had to photoshop adjust the flip side to get the bottom picture.

Update: Cell Phone Fashion

Sunday, May 13th, 2007

So I bought a cell phone last month, to replace the big ugly phone that came with the company Nextel plan I was on. For a bunch of reasons, I decided to switch off that plan and just get my own. With that came the ability to get a fashionable cell phone, and so I did. Here it is. My Red RAZR.

So Cool. No more mocking Jen about her phone.

Ordered: Sorrelli Mint Julep Earrings

Saturday, May 12th, 2007

My first piece from Sorrelli was a birthday present from my mom. I have added a few more since then, but nothing in the mint julep collection where that first necklace came from. I’m finding lots of reasons to wear it now, and so I decided to find a pair of earrings. The whole collection is half off at Sorrelli’s website, so I picked up these.

New: Joe’s Jeans

Friday, May 11th, 2007

I needed a second pair of jeans, and I found these in my shopping session this week. They are The Honey from Joe’s Jeans. The rise is higher than the Rock & Republics that I have, and that’s nice. The fit, of course, is amazing.
