New: Pink Slingbacks

Saturday, June 30th, 2007

It is just a coincidence that these are BCBGirls shoes. I promise I have not become a marketing blog for Max Azria. So Shop It To Me delivered this sale to me. Under $50 for these shoes at Endless. Free overnight shipping, $5 off, and free returns made it no question if I should try them. Now that they are here, I definitely like them, but I don’t love them. I’m debating whether or not to keep them.
If you can’t tell from the photo, they are light pink and silver.

New: Red Bangle

Friday, June 29th, 2007

Going with the red accessories for the khaki BCBG dress, I found this bangle at Banana Republic. It was a good use of my $25 reward card. I have already worn it with a couple outfits, and I just love it.

New: Furla Bag

Thursday, June 28th, 2007

To go with my BCBG dress, I ordered this red Furla bag from Bluefly. It is exactly the right size for my computer and equipment, and even though it’s patent leather it’s not obnoxiously shiny. Thank you to my fabulous sister-in-law for her opinion and encouragement :)

Arrived: Nanette Lepore Ciao Bella Dress

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

The Nanette Lepore Ciao Bella dress I found on ultra sale came today. I love it so much.

It comes with a black slip (which I am wearing in the picture). I have a red silk slip that I tried with it. That looks pretty cool, too, and I might do that combo if I were going out.

Confession: I am big a dork

Tuesday, June 26th, 2007

True, I love designer clothes. I can talk all about them. At this point, I can even wear them out of the house looking decent and fool people into thinking I’m fashionable and maybe even chic.

But at home with the blinds closed, I am really a big dork. Here’s what I was wearing between all the outfit pictures: a white skirt from gap and a Coke t-shirt in Hebrew that I bought at the Coke store in Las Vegas a couple years ago. (no, I’m not jewish. It’s just cool.)

Outfit: An Open Letter to My Single Friends

Monday, June 25th, 2007

Dear Single Friends,

If it’s not too much trouble, could you please get married? I have this great dress that screams to be worn to a summer wedding, but I have been invited to no weddings to speak of. I’d really like to wear it, so maybe you could visit Match.com??

Hugs and Kisses,

Jen

Outfit: Black Dress

Sunday, June 24th, 2007

I bought this jersey dress on bluefly for around $60. It’s tighter than I’d normally wear, and in just black it wasn’t working for me. I almost returned it, but I came up with this accessory combo instead. I like the wide belt look, though I don’t do it much. I like how it works here with the black and brown.

The wood bangles I made with my dad over xmas. The other bracelet is actually a choker style necklace from Kenya that’s wrapped around twice. That belt is from Old Navy of all places. The necklace is equally cheap from American Eagle.

I haven’t worn this out yet, but I will soon.

Outfit: Red H&M Shirt

Saturday, June 23rd, 2007

I originally started this blog to post up some of my outfits, but I’m usually too lazy to photograph myself. I broke down today and took a bunch. Here is the first set of outfits.

I got this great red shirt at H&M. Here it is with a pair of white pants from J Crew, and a white skirt from Banana Republic. The red shoes are the perfect imitation of my Marc Jacobs by Linea Paolo from Nordstrom.

Ordered: Nanette Lepore Dress

Friday, June 22nd, 2007

I have been lusting over the Nanette Lepore Ciao Bella dress for months. Several times I added it to my cart online and almost bought it, but at $398, I couldn’t bring myself to do it. Today, the Shop It To Me email showed me it was on sale for around $275 at Bloomingdales. I thought this would be a good chance to get it, but even with the big amount off, that’s still too expensive. I made it to checkout twice before chancing my mind (and the $17.95 shipping cost didn’t help!).

Before giving up, I did a quick Froogle search and found it also on sale at eLuxury for only $150. Now that is a price I have no problem paying for a dress. I also got free shipping and eLuxury’s usual good customer service. I am very impressed with my retail skills, and it goes to show that you should always search around before purchasing.

Want: Some Christian Louboutin

Thursday, June 21st, 2007

In a moment of freshly awakened weakness this morning, I almost bought these Christian Louboutin shoes before appreciating that they were WAY outside my budget. If I win that shopping spree on Bluefly, though, watch out. They will be mine.
