Kay Unger is one of those designers I love, but I don’t have a lot of occasions to wear her party dresses. Still, this one is really great. Check out that sequined waist!

I love this bag. I saw it in person and came this close |-| to buying it. I even had a dream about it last night.

Yet another beautiful dress from BCBG. Looking at it makes me sad that summer is going away.

Casual wear for me in the summer is so easy. For dog walking I’ll throw on a dress or skirt and t-shirt and converse. For shopping or other public outings, I’ll wear espadrilles and a dress. Once it starts getting cold, I have problems. I need pants for dog walking and other outdoor activities, but not my good jeans (which are far to expensive for touching dirt, and are hemmed for 4″ heels anyway). I need tops that are varying types of warmth. For more public outings, I have no easy equivalent to the espadrilles. I still struggle with this casual wear in fall, winter, and spring.

For the dog walking style clothes, I did some shopping at old navy. That netted me the jacket I blogged yesterday, some basic long sleeved tees, and this zip hoodie.

Last year, I got a great hooded red wool coat from Benetton. It is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen, and it my only real coat. That meant that I wore it for dog walking and other things that I’d like to spare it from. This one from Old Navy is going to be my replacement for dog walking and other hanging around. When it’s really cold, I’ll stick to my old firefighting jacket. For fall time (which sadly is approaching), this should be perfect.
