This Sorrelli bracelet looks like a bug:

I will spare you a photo of the House Centipedes (which, like today, occasionally scare me by appearing in my basement or bathroom) , and illustrate my point with a slightly less disturbing green centipede.

I have 2 coats now, which are great. I have a light weight jacket. For cold weather, my only jacket is an old fireman’s coat that I inherited. It’s cool in its own way, and was my only winter jacket for many years. However, it’s really raged and is way too big on me. Tonight I started thinking about what I could get to replace it. My dad bought my mom a North Face jacket a few years ago that was really great. I went to their website tonight and am absolutely in love with the Vivid Triclimate Jacket. I love this white-grey-black combo and the structure of it. At $400, though, it will have to wait.

There are lots of great deals on summer dresses now. I think this dress by Hype is beautiful, and we’ll see if I can get one in my size on sale.

Banana Republic has been very disappointing the last couple years. Their shapes have all been dowdy. Almost everything is that unflattering length below the knee, the shirts have had no structure. Most of the dresses and tops are billowy and unfitted. There hasn’t been much I would wear, even if I were in my 60s.

However, I did find a wrap dress that was a nice length. I have that in the blue and a red print. The silhouette is really nice and I love them. Last night, I found this green faux wrap that will hopefully be as nice. The print is reminiscent of Diane von Furstenberg’s blue and green diamonds from last year, but a bit less severe. I love the tailored short sleeve and the collar.

Well, summer is very much over. However, I love summer dresses and can always use more - especially for $27. I snagged myself this from Esprit. It will be great…in 6 months.

Here is item 2 from the Bloomingdale’s sale: a BCBG dress I’ve had my eye on for a while. Normally $300, bought by me for $90. The differences between the Saks picture and Bloomingdale’s is significant, so I’ve included them both.

I’ve been on a search for a going out dress. Today, a confluence of shopping events got me free shipping and half off new sale prices at Bloomingdales. That meant I was able to find several $250 dresses on sale for about $90. I ordered the ones I liked and am planning to pick one and send the rest back. This is one that I found. It’s not my favorite right off, but it looks like something I might really like once I get it on.
