Here’s another great holiday sale item from the Shop it to me salemail. While I probably don’t need several hammered silk dresses, I love the color and the shape of this BCBG dress. Unfortunately, it’s not available in my size right now but I’ve got it bookmarked in case someone returns one.

I had a nice blue shirt from J Crew and, at a recent conference as I opened a bottle of red wine, it splattered all over me. Despite many washings and treatments, the shirt is wrecked. However, it was a very important part of a outfit I have. I needed to replace it on my no-spending budget. Luckily, I found this at the gap and paid for it with one of my Banana Republic reward cards. It was free!!

Got the salemail this morning. As I was scrolling through, I was considering doing a post on my renewed obsession with Diane von Furstenberg. I got a great dress on sale at Saks about a month ago, and since then I’ve been on the hunt for others. So I’m thinking about this and hunting for some shop-it-to-me-goodness, when I find this.
Diane - can I call you Diane? - what is THIS supposed to be? I’ll tell you what it is. It’s a frumpy old lady sack of a sweatery thing. Not to insult old ladies; my gramma is way more fashionable than someone who would wear this. I think the fact that you show it in an alternate view with a little fitted dress underneath makes it even worse. What self respecting, DVF-wearing woman would want to put herself in this sad thing, especially to cover up one of your brilliant dresses? It’s got no color, no shape, droopy pockets, and those slightly asymmetric buttons do nothing to make this even remotely ok.
Picture an attractive fashionista who loves your clothes. It’s Christmas morning. She is sitting by the tree, opening presents, tears off the paper, sees the “DVF” on the box, gets all excited expecting something like that dress I mentioned, and instead, she finds THIS SWEATER. What does she do? My guess, she tears up a bit, and fights off her disappointment in this design as to not offend the person who gave her the sweater and didn’t know any better.
Frankly, I am disappointed in you.
This is a beautiful dress! Nanette Lepore’s things alwas fit so well, too. However, I doubt I could justify having two dresses in this color, assuming the Birthday Dress I ordered fits.
Here’s another one of those amazing Holiday bargains I found with shop it to me. Bloomingdales is doing 40% off the lowest sale price. That works out to like 75% off total - that’s a lot of percents off!
This shirt by Theory is one of the items I found in the salemail this morning, down to $72 from $200. I have been looking for this shirt for a while since I saw it on CSI:Miami. I would get ton of wear from this. Bloomingdales - if you send it to me for free, I will even wear it IN Miami when I go there next month!
I am not usually one to talk about The Economy publicly, but I sure have noticed a difference in the kinds of Holiday sales showing up. It’s crazy how much a lot of stuff is marked down, and I’m having trouble keeping up with it.
For example - last week I posted this skirt from Saks, then on sale for around $135. I got my Shop it to Me Salemail this morning, that shows it is now down to only $91. What a deal!

It’s been a while since I posted any designs. This is a new one in the running t-shirt part of my store. The message is simple: Will Run for Chocolate. This is literal for me. It turns out that research shows chocolate milk is a better recovery drink that gatorade, and when I’m out on my long runs, after about 10 miles I start dreaming about the big glass of chocolate milk I get when I finish.
Here are a couple samples. Tons of other shirt styles are in the store.
